This is an active archive of art prints as part of David McGillivray's Art & Design Practice,
Studio DMCG, Inc.
The works here represent a broad motive to capture glimpses within mundane everyday moments, where form and color compose themselves into quiet but poignant scenes, and to create visuals which praise the otherwise ignored. Recurring themes industrial objects, transportation, and architectural lines.
The process is relatively straightforward, starting with photography, progressing to a pencil sketch, and then finally painting with a digital tablet and brush.
100% of profits from print sales are donated to
Animal Equality USA; an international organization working to end cruelty to farmed animals through undercover investigations, corporate campaigns, political outreach, and development of large-scale education programs. They achieve significant successes with very small amounts of money, and are continually setting goals to improve their performance and increase their impact. Over 99.6% of domesticated animals killed by humans in the United States are farm animals, yet on a yearly basis the organizations working to reduce cruelty in agriculture receive a disproportionally small amount of funding. For roughly every $1 you spend on a print from the archive, an animal at risk of agricultural related cruelty will be positively impacted.
